The core focus of SVBC is to evangelize and reach others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In order to fulfill the great commission, we must be reaching the world around us for Christ.
Matthew 28:19 - "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."As believers, we should constantly worship God for who He is and what He has done for us. We worship Him through personal fellowship, obedience, testimony, and song.
Deuteronomy 6:5 - "And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."God gave everyone special talents to be used for His Glory. We try to provide opportunities where people can serve and minister to the body of Christ. We are also to encourage and edify each other in the Lord. This fellowship is an important part of any local church as it helps to create unity and love among fellow believers.
John 13:34 - "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."We believe that every believer should have a desire to be more like Christ. In order to accomplish this, believers must learn about His character through a personal relationship with God and His Word. We learn these truths and doctrines through sound Bible preaching and teaching, which will help us grow and develop into vessels that God can use for Christ.
